Help could be on the way for the thousands of people in Jefferson County facing foreclosure.

Mayor Jerry Abramson and Rep. John Yarmuth are slated to announce a new program Tuesday afternoon.

The Foreclosure Conciliation Program is modeled after a program designed in Philadelphia. Leaders there said it’s been successful in reducing the number of foreclosures.
