Holbrook considers selling tax liens
In their continuing efforts to ratchet up the collection of overdue taxes, town officials are considering a new tactic: the selling of tax liens.
During the Nov. 10 meeting of the board of selectmen, Interim Treasurer/Collector Robert Haley floated the idea of selling tax liens to a company that, in turn, would sell the delinquent properties.
“We could take all the tax liens, package them together, and sell them,” he said.
