Homebuyer credit may stay
Local real estate agents are optimistic that the federal home buyer tax credit, which has boosted the market, will be extended.
The unknown, they said, is what the final version of that bill that will be.
The credit, which provides up to $8,000 to first-time home buyers, will expire November 30.
Senators are considering extending it for home buyers who sign sales contracts by the end of April and close by the end of June.
