New Home, New Addition

WHEN they married last November, Mike and Sarah Hudnall had two plans for the near future: a new home and a new baby. They assumed there would be sufficient time to hunt for the former while waiting for the latter to happen.

Instead, Mrs. Hudnall became pregnant immediately, so finding a place to buy became a priority.

In their cozy Park Slope, Brooklyn, rental, “there was no place to put a baby,” Mr. Hudnall said. “Our kitchen was our living room was our dining room was our guest room. You had to move the couch to sit down at the table to eat dinner.”
